We sent Pippen to Portland with Joanne Noffsinger, we are hoping to attain her American Championship. First 2 days She received reserve winners bitch, yesterday I got the call.. Pippen had won Best of Breed, from the classes under respected Terrier Judge Ken McDermott, for a 5 point major!..We are very excited over this win, mostly because it was Ken McDermott!! We have 2 more days to go, and hopefully more of the same will be happening..
Update
Pippen picked up a BOW for 2 more points on Sunday. The Judges remarks about her all weekend were ..awesome coat and very well Groomed. This was the type of Cairn they always had in mind, eyes, head, coat, size, everything they wanted to see in a Cairn Terrier.

11 weeks old, and I have to admit I have very naughty puppys, sweet, but very naughty. We went shopping the other day and I had bought a 10 kg bag of sugar. My husband dropped it off in the kitchen thinking I would take care of it and put it away. And I had every intention of doing that, till...I got distracted. Came back 15 minutes later to an absolute disater. Sugar all over my floor, and Parker and Willow with bellies so full of sugar they were ready to burst. What took 15 minutes to ... Then On Sunday Pippen won Breed again, and also went on to win a Group 1 Placing!! For those who are not in the Dog show world this is HUGE!

Well Fall is here and so is the changing of seasons. This year so far
has been great for Pippen, despite earlier disapointments, lessons were
learned and things have changed. We went to a BC dog show earlier in
September but had no luck, but that was ok It will take Pippen a wee bit
to wrap her mind around showing again. meanwhile we went to the island
afterwards and had a wonderful time with Pippen. She was on the
beaches and had fun chasing seagulls, and just sniffing everywhere an... Continue reading...

I am very pleased with this last
weekend. Normally I go on about Pippen , but today its all about Marco.
Marco is Dott and Davys ooopsie puppy, and what an awesome Ooopsie he
is. At 10 months of age he now sits on 8 points towards his Canadian
Championship, and won a Best Puppy in Group this last weekend. I am a
proud Breeder.
This brings me to a question I always ponder..As
Breeders do we sell our best or our second best? I believe if My Kennel
name is on that Dog it better be my bes... Continue reading...

This weekend I went to Grande Prairie for the dog show.I was letting a Handler take her in to see what he could do with her as opposed to my handling. He handled her well, but we did not win. This is ok, it is part of the game. Later on he asked if he could remove some of her dead coat, I said yes (and she did have some dead hair in her, actually quite a lot, we were in transition, and I was trying to keep coat on her until her new coat was a proper length) and watched how he was going to...

There has been a big debate on spaying and neutering your pets. When is the best time before 6 months or later when the pet is mature. My feelings on this is the later the better. In Dogs in Canada, ther is a wonderful article about neutering your dog too young.
